Ruffling the Feathers: the Saxophone Quartet in
Australian Jazz
Continuum Sax will present a concert of music by Australian
composer/performers from the jazz world. From the
repertoire of the Original Otto Orchestra, Peter
Boyd’s Noisy Friar Birds, Tony
Gorman’s Lambent and Environmentally
Sound Compounds, to the more recent Street
Party by Sandy Evans, along with compositions by a new
generation of jazz artists such as Sam Golding, Julian
Curwin, David Reaston, John Hibberd and Martin Kay.
Presenting this music at the Sound Lounge will bring this
ensemble into an informal performance environment and
create opportunities for a closer relationship with our
audience.
